Dr. Annalisa Bracco

Dr. Annalisa Bracco is a Professor of Ocean and Climate Dynamics at Georgia Tech’s School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. With a Ph.D. in Geophysics and Oceanography from the University of Genova, Italy, she specialises in ocean circulation, turbulence, and climate variability. Her research explores how ocean dynamics influence weather patterns, biodiversity, and carbon cycling, with a recent focus on AI-driven ecosystem mappingand marine-based carbon sequestration. Dr. Bracco has received the Nicholas P. Fofonoff Award for her contributions to ocean-climate interactions and has advanced climate model validation techniques. Her work informs marine conservation, extreme weather prediction, and climate adaptation strategies, highlighting the ocean’s critical role in the fight against climate change.
